EXTREME HEAT -- RULES FOR PLAY

At East Preston and Kingston Bowls Club, we love the sunshine, but your safety always comes first. To make sure we are looking out for one another during those scorching summer days, the Management Committee has approved a brand-new Extreme Heat Policy, effective 14 July 2026.

We are aligning with the Met Office Heat-Health Alerts to keep everyone safe. Under a Yellow Alert, we will provide extra drinking water stations and safety reminders. During an Amber Alert, we will conduct dynamic risk assessments, allow shortened matches, and mandate five-minute hydration breaks. If a Red Alert is issued, there will be a mandatory suspension of all outdoor bowling and maintenance.

Remember, player safety always takes precedence. You always have the right to withdraw from a game if the heat becomes too much.
